Mr. C W Wong - founder of SFI.  Mr. Wong is an entrepreneur and magnate. He served as Executive Director and Group GM of WBL from 1982 until 2005. Mr. Wong was also served as Founder, Chairman and CEO of Wearnes Technology Private Limited in the same period of time. He managed Wearnes Technology and achieved an outstanding growth from zero to S$1Billion in a short 5 years period of time. WBL/HUA XIN Internatioal was leading in property development in China over last two decades which included 3 theme parks and many well known residential properties, for example, Olympic garden in major cities of China.  In 1989, Wall Street Journal 150 year’s historical special edition ranked WBL the number 66 “companies for the Future” worldwide. In 2005, Mr. Wong resigned from WBL and founded SFI.

Mr. Wong directed and architected Singapore successful electronics industry when he was Division Director in charge of Light Industry in Singapore Economic Development Board from 1960 until 1969.  National Semiconductor, TI, Philips, and countless worldwide famous electronics company set up their Asia HQ in Singapore under his influence. IEE Limited, Singapore Semiconductor, and Universal Electronics were his successful IPO and famous start up in 1973 after he left government in 1969.

He successfully invested and brought many companies IPO worldwide starting from his early 30s. The most well-known story is M-Flex where he managed to achieve one thousand times of return of investment. Mr. Wong was among the first to see the commercial potential of flex printed circuit board in 1980s. M-Flex, ALR, ISSI, BTC, IEE/Universal Electronics, and etc are among his lists of successful invested company.
